Finalist: Café Largesse
Café Largesse was founded with the goal of being more than just a restaurant, it was created as a true neighborhood gathering place. The name “Largesse” reflects a spirit of generosity and giving freely, values that are at the heart of the café’s mission. Owned and operated entirely by family, Café Largesse is run by Frank and Olga Estrella, and Olga’s mother, who personally handle every coffee delivery and catering order.
Deeply rooted in the local community, Café Largesse prioritizes sourcing ingredients from nearby farms, including beef, milk, and coffee, reinforcing its commitment to supporting local producers. Community investment extends beyond food, as the café partners with a local charity and church to support children and families in need. Their efforts have included hand-delivering three truckloads of supplies to Texas flood victims.
Café Largesse also champions local artists by displaying their work throughout the space and looks forward to launching the “Good Neighbors” Farmers Market this spring. Above all, Café Largesse exists for its neighbors—a shared living room built on care, connection, and gratitude.
Finalist: JoJo's Bakery
JoJo’s Bakery was born from a lifelong dream rooted in family, tradition, and a love for baking. Inspired by time spent in the kitchen with her grandmother JoJo, Lily Swartz pursued every opportunity to turn her passion into a profession, from an unpaid pastry role in high school to formal training at the Culinary Institute of America in New York after graduating from Westlake High School in 2017. She later returned to Austin to gain experience in some of the city’s top restaurants before bringing her vision home.
In March 2025, JoJo’s Bakery opened in the Cuernavaca neighborhood where the founder grew up, with the support of friends and family. In just nine months, the bakery has become a cherished part of the community, hosting children’s cookie decorating classes, participating in local events like Cuerny Jam, and fundraising over $1,000 in Christmas gifts through customer donations.
JoJo’s Bakery quickly expanded its offerings to include brunch, cakes, and catering, celebrating holidays and milestones with thoughtfully crafted treats. Built on love, resilience, and community connection, JoJo’s Bakery looks forward to sharing its joy for many years to come.
Finalist: Austin Epicure
The Austin Epicure embodies the entrepreneurial spirit, resilience, and community focus that define a New Business of the Year. While the storefront officially opened just nine months ago, Marissa Mireur built her business on decades of experience in restaurants, private cheffing, and hospitality. Its journey began humbly during the COVID pandemic as a home-based venture and persevered through extraordinary personal challenges, including profound loss and a cancer diagnosis. Through it all, The Austin Epicure emerged stronger and deeply committed to its vision.
Rooted in Westlake since 2010, Marissa chose intentionally to grow the business where her family lives and where meaningful relationships already existed. The Austin Epicure fills a unique niche in the community as a thoughtfully curated, one-stop destination for high-quality grab-and-go meals, snacks, wine, baked goods, and gifts.
Whether customers stop in for a lively lunch, a quick dinner, entertaining essentials, or a meaningful gift, they trust that every offering reflects care, quality, and craftsmanship. At its core, The Austin Epicure’s success is built on genuine relationships and a deep love for the Westlake community it proudly serves.
