After moving to Austin in 2025, I’ve been thinking it would be great to get more Austin authors together in the same room!

The gathering would not be for a workshop and without any sales pitch. Just a good group of people who have written books, are promoting books and are figuring out what actually works.

So that’s what Austin Authors Circle is.
We’ll get together for an hour, have some coffee (or tea) and talk about things like:

• What are you doing to get your book out there?

• How can we help each other with authentic reviews?

• Are you getting on podcasts or using your book to get speaking opportunities?

• What have you tried that didn’t work?

• How do you talk about your book without sounding like you’re constantly trying to sell it?

• What can we learn from each other?

I’d also love to invite some people a chance to practice pitching their book.

Not some big formal pitch directed to the other authors, but more a chance to practice our book elevator pitches. Just, “This is my book, here’s who it’s for and why I wrote it.”
Then we can help each other make it better.

I’m an author myself and my first book has now received more than 1,200 reviews. It’s also opened up a lot of speaking opportunities for me. I’ve learned quite a bit along the way, and as I explore more book releases I’d like to hear what other authors are doing too.

You are very welcome to bring your book if you want, but this is not a time to bring copies to sell. Let's keep this relational and helping each other. I love the mantra "Givers Gain!"

I’m hosting it at the Uplevel Training Center in Westlake and we’ll keep it to an hour.
