Election
It's Election Time! It's that time of year again when the Chamber prepares to nominate incoming board members. There are eight positions available for the 2019 Board of Directors.
So How Does It Work?
The Chamber solicits nominations from the general membership. A Nominating Committee, comprised of members at large and appointed by the current Board Chair of the Chamber, will review all the nominees and present a slate of up to 16 candidates to the Board of Directors for election at the October Board Meeting. Candidates will be elected at the October Board meeting.
Who can be Nominated?
Each candidate must be a member in good standing and have been a member for at least one year. The tenure of the board position is three years. Along with monthly meetings and chairing a committee, board members are asked to stay in touch with the business community, attend Chamber-sponsored events and assist at quarterly events such as the Westlake 4th of July Parade and Celebration.
