One World Theatre
In 1993, Hartt Stearns and his future wife, Nada, started a voice and percussion show highlighting different cultures and performing in local schools. They formed One World as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and began to sponsor the best artists from diverse cultures to perform in the schools. In July 1999, One World Theatre opened as an extension of the arts-in-education program with a mission to educate and inspire children and adults with innovative and exciting multicultural arts and entertainment programs. Today, One World Theatre is one of the area's premiere live music venues.
Eanes History Center
In 1986 the Eanes History Center was organized to preserve history related to the development of the area known as the Eanes Community located in Western Travis County, Texas. The center, housed in the Old Rock School House, is nestled in the middle of the Eanes Elementary School campus and has enjoyed a long and cooperative relationship within the Eanes Independent School District as a learning center, museum and research library. Every year more than 1200 students and residents of the community visit the center and participate in the Center's programs and use its library.
Although West Lake Hills is its own community, it’s a very short distance to downtown Austin allowing for easy access to the art and culture of Austin, Texas.
