STRESS RESPONSE IN COVID TIMES
Dr. Pamela Monday will talk about what might be going on inside of us as we all experience this unprecedented pandemic. As successful business people, we are risk takers and used to the inevitable ebb and flow of the marketplace and vacillating profit margins and cash flow. We are problem solvers, and we understand that change happens in all businesses. But too many changes in too short a time trigger the kind of stress responses that most of us have never experienced before. Fear, anxiety and overwhelming stress can stop us in our tracks, and make it very hard to think, plan and work, especially when we don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Dr. Monday will help us understand what’s going on within, and give us tips on how to manage stress in a healthy way.
Dr. Pamela Monday is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas. She is a certified Imago Therapist and Workshop Presenter. She is a board approved supervisor and has presented often at local, state and national conferences. She co-authored a book,” Sudden Wealth: Blessing or Burden?” and is currently writing a book on family systems. She has written numerous published articles and has been featured on several radio and television shows.
She specializes in helping individuals, families and couples achieve satisfying and fulfilling lives and relationships. She facilitates understanding of oneself and others, and teaches skills specific to the goals of change that clients want to achieve. She has deep faith in the ability of human compassion and understanding to help each other heal. She especially enjoys working with women, helping them to become assertive, empowered people who can reach their potential and find meaning, purpose and happiness in life.
She is the proud mother of two compassionate, loving sons, and the happy “Grammy” to five of the cutest grandkids in the whole world.
